How we rank
GLP-1 providers
The criteria we score on, where our data comes from, and how editorial work stays operationally separate from affiliate operations.
Last updated: May 2026
Something you can check
BestGLP1 is an independent comparison platform. We compare US telehealth providers that prescribe GLP-1 medications and publish the results as a list.
This page documents how those rankings are produced, what we score on, where our data comes from, and how our editorial team is kept operationally separate from the commercial relationships disclosed on our affiliates page.
We publish this so the word “independent” is something you can verify, not something you have to take on faith.

Providers we evaluate
We track US-facing telehealth providers that prescribe branded GLP-1 medications such as Wegovy, Zepbound, Saxenda, Mounjaro, Ozempic, and Foundayo, which are FDA-approved and have been extensively studied for their approved uses. Some providers listed on this site also offer compounded versions of GLP-1 medications, which are prepared by licensed compounding pharmacies and are not FDA-approved. Compounded products have different regulatory status, safety review, and oversight. Always consult a licensed healthcare provider. To be included, a provider must:
Operates in the majority of US States.
Connect patients with US-licensed clinicians who can issue a valid prescription.
Publish enough public information (pricing, medication list, consult flow, shipping terms) for us to score them without guessing.
Inclusion is not paid. A provider can be ranked on the site without any commercial relationship with us, and a commercial relationship does not on its own qualify a provider for inclusion.
What we score on
Every provider is scored on the same four dimensions, each on a 1.0–5.0 scale. The four dimension scores are combined to produce the overall rating shown on the provider card.
Price
Real, fully-loaded monthly cost — including membership and consult fees — for the medication a typical user would be prescribed. First-month-only discounts are noted separately and do not count toward the score.
Ease
How long the intake and consult take, whether it's synchronous or asynchronous, how clearly the next steps are communicated, and how quickly the first shipment arrives once a prescription is issued.
Products
How many of the medications we cover are actually prescribed by the provider, and whether alternatives — such as oral vs injectable — are available if a patient's first option isn't a fit.
Reviews
How the providers has been reviewed by genuine customers on reputable, third-party sites - excluding any reviews from that provider's own site, or any associated materials.
There is no separate, hidden “editor’s pick” score, and we do not adjust the combined score by hand after it is computed.
Where the data comes from
Each score is built from one or more of the following sources, with a preference for what we can observe ourselves.
Provider-published pages
Pricing, formulary, state coverage, and policy pages from each provider's own site, captured and time-stamped.
Test accounts
Where a provider permits it, we complete the intake ourselves so we can record the real consult flow and post-purchase support — not the marketing version.
Verified patient reviews
Reviews aggregated from public platforms, filtered to those tied to a real account and weighted against the four scoring criteria.
Provider response
Every provider can correct factual errors before a change goes live. They cannot change the score itself — only the inputs that feed it.
Editorial vs. affiliate
Operationally separate
BestGLP1 is operated by Best GLP-1, LLC. The team that produces the rankings and the written comparisons is operationally separate from the team that manages commercial relationships with the providers we list.
- The commercial team does not see ranking changes before they are published.
- The editorial team is not compensated based on which provider a user clicks, signs up with, or generates a commission from.
- Providers cannot pay to be ranked higher, featured, or to suppress written analysis.
- The presence or absence of an affiliate relationship is not an input to any of the four scores.
Affiliate relationships are disclosed where they exist, in line with FTC guidance. See the disclosure at the bottom of any provider card and our full affiliates page.
Some providers pay BestGLP1 a referral fee when you sign up. We disclose this because the FTC requires it. Our rankings are editorial.

How often we refresh
Pricing, formulary, and in-stock status are reviewed at least every 30 days, and any time a provider tells us something has changed.
State coverage and consult flow are reviewed at least every 90 days.
The “last updated” date on this page reflects the most recent change to the methodology itself, not to the underlying data.
What we don’t do
- No paid placement on the ranked list, no paid badges (“best for…”, “top match”), no paid sentiment in the written comparison.
- No auto-generated provider write-ups from a provider's own marketing copy. A human on the editorial team writes and signs off on each one.
- We do not practice medicine, diagnose, or recommend a specific medication for a specific person. Eligibility, medication choice, and dose are decisions for a licensed clinician.
Something look wrong?
If a price has changed, a medication is out of stock, a state has been added or dropped, or a score looks off given the inputs — let us know through the contact form. We’ll respond, correct the input, and re-run the score. Every such change is logged so the record stays auditable.
